Strat-O-Matic will now have a section of our website devoted to league classified ads. We will publish a new list of classifieds on or about the first of each month.

The ad content will be limited to leagues looking for players, players looking for leagues or opponents, and tournament announcements.

In your ad, please specify which sport the ad refers to. Ads will be limited to a maximum of 50 words.


Deadlines: Please email ad copy 10 days in advance of the first of the month. Any ads placed after our in house deadline will be held and posted on the 1st of the following month.

You can email your ad directly to us by clicking here: som1@ix.netcom.com. Use the Subject: Classified Ad and type in the ad in the body of the email. Please enclose your full name at the end of the ad if it is not included in the body of your ad.

LOOKING FOR PLAYERS:


THE BVL -- looking for a few good men. If you live in the NYC tri-state area and are looking to join a cool f2f Strat league, check the BVL (in its 26th season; see http://www.bvlaction.com). We use Super Advanced rules mostly, plus others, i.e., injury chart (Paul O'Neill, Hank Blalock careers cut short), brawl chart (Guillermo Mota is one SOB); we have rainouts; we pay our players (don't worry, in shekels), draft minor leaguers, etc. We're looking to make some contacts for possible backup GMs; there’s whisper of expansion in a couple of years. This is a league of gentlemen and of well played games. We play a 70-game schedule; we use Hal to play out meaningless games. We have current owners  living in NYC/New Jersey/Westchester. NOMBL is a summer computer baseball league with 20 teams. NOMBL has 1 (playoff team) available for the 2007 season which starts in April.  Join now so you can be a member in time for our 2007 season. The Net Major League (NML) is looking for new managers to take over existing teams. The NML uses the latest version of the CD rom game. The NML consist of two leagues of 12 teams each: 1) Net National League (NNL) and 2) Net American League(NAL).  The NNL uses players that played only in the MLB National league and the NAL uses players that played in the MLB American League. The free agent draft will begin in mid Janurary and the rookie draft will take place in Feburary. The (BTSL) Beantown Stratomatic League is looking for 1-2 owners for expansion. We are a Metro-Boston Area FTF league that uses most SADV rules and a few unique rules of our own.  We are a 5 team league, not an All-Star league.  We currently have teams in Newton, Ashland, The North End, West Roxbury and Waltham.  We draft from a pool of NL East and NL Central Teams. We are a semi keeper league in that we protect 13 players each year, the remaining rosters spots are filled with our annual draft of eligible players. The Way Retro League has an opening in the 1917 Retro League.  We have played 1901-1916.  Our goal is to play every season in the history of the Major Leagues and eventually become a current day league.  We use the latest version of Strat-o-matic Computer Game.  We play 4 seasons in just over a 1 year period using the latest version of Strat-o-matic Baseball Computer Game.  We are a keeper league, keeping 15 players a season and then drafting 10 players from the remaining free agents. The team that is available at this is the storied Pittsburgh Pirates.  The Pirates have won 5 WRL Championship Cup Titles out of 16 seasons.  Right now the Bucs are having a rough season in 1917 but this means a tremendous draft pick for 1918. Join our league and have an adventure.  Be part of what is the only league that will complete the entire History of the Major Leagues with an alternate reality.  See how the Babe will do without Lou to protect him.  Babe's career is underway and you will be getting in right in the beginning of it.
