2019 Baseball Range Ratings Preview – Updated 12/17

2019 Baseball Range Ratings

Below, you will find links to the Range Ratings Preview for the 2019 baseball set. You can view them on screen in PDF format or you can download an XLS (Microsoft Excel) spreadsheet file. Click on the appropriate link for the format you desire.

This sheet lists players by teams, with their appropriate range ratings (1-5) at each position they qualify at. For more detailed info about the 2019 baseball card set, you may wish to purchase the 2019 Ratings Book/Download, which will be available in early January.

Please take note of the following codes. You will see one of the following abbreviations next to a player’s name under the USE column. The abbreviation refers to the type of card he will receive. Here is the definition of each abbreviation:

Reg: Regular Team Cards
Mix: Mixed Player Group
Add: Additional Player Cards
Comp: Computer Player Only (no printed card)

There are a few batters with no range ratings; they were either DH’s or played no time in the field but had at-bats. Pitcher range ratings are not included in this file.

A player with a split rating (basic/advanced) will have for example: 2(B3). This means he has a 2 rating in the advanced game and a 3 rating in the basic game.

ALWAYS Look Forward To These Ratings EVERY Year!! Thanks!! BTW, Brian Dozier, Wash. Nats 2B Should Be Better Than A “3” At 2B, He Should Be At Least A “2”, Or A “1” Reply!!

  4. etallon says:

Bull dozier’s 3 rating is spot on, maybe should have been a 4. Not a good year for him. He was negative in defensive WAR

  5. ROBERTPOOGACH says:

Harold Castro, Det, has his range ratings off by 1 column. Should be a 4 from 1B-SS not C-3B

  6. Crossar says:

    Awesome! thanks a ton!
Think you may be underestimating Lourdes Gurriel in LF 😉

  7. chuckcd says:

How can Christian Walker be a 3 at 1B? His DRS is +9 and range factors way above league average. Might want to take another look at him.

    1. chuckcd says:

Especially if Belt is a 1

  8. RICH D says:

IF YOU HAVE A 1 RATING IN CF , HOW ARE YOU RATED AS A 2 FOR LF AND OR RF?????? SEE THE NATS ROBLES AND TAYLOR FOR THIS SPECIFIC SITUATION. 🙂 THANKS FOR THE FIELDING RATINGS PREVIEW EACH YEAR!!! 🙂 DOUBLE THUMBS UP!! THEY ARE ALWAYS A BLAST TO PERUSE WHILE DILIGENTLY AWAITING THE ARRIVAL OF THE CARDS IN FEBRUARY!!
