Calling all Strat-O-Matic Fans from the Midwest!
SOM is excited to announce a “Strat-O-Matic Night at the Ballpark,” to be hosted by the West Michigan Whitecaps of the Midwest League early next month.
The event will take place on Saturday, August 6th and will feature a double-elimination Strat-O-Matic stock team baseball tournament (Cards & Dice only/Super Advanced Rules).
For just $20, you will receive the following:
- Entry to the Strat-O-Matic board game tournament
- All-you-can-eat buffet from 12noon-1pm (EST)
- Tickets to the West Michigan Whitecaps Minor League Baseball game at 7pm
- A chance to meet other Strat-O-Matic gamers and win cool prizes from the Whitecaps and Strat-O-Matic
The tournament will run from 11am to 4pm (EST) and will take place at the Pepsi Stadium Club at Fifth Third Ballpark (home of the West Michigan Whitecaps MiLB team) in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Game setups will be provided, though you should bring your own stock team to play with. “Ultimate Strat-O-Matic Fanatic” Brett Carow, who will be in attendance, has offered to lend cards (any team from 1911, 1941, 1959, 1975, 1987-2010) as long as a request has been submitted on or before Thursday, August 4th at 8pm EST.
