1970-71 ABA Basketball Season Roster
- Utah Stars win 57, then the title in ABA’s fourth season
- Rookie Dan Issel leads league in scoring and Kentucky into finals
- Top stars: Rick Barry, rookie Charlie Scott, Joe Caldwell, Mel Daniels, Zelmo Beatty
Strat-O-Matic’s earliest (so far) American Basketball Association features an exciting rookie class (Dan Issel, Charlie Scott, Ralph Simpson) and some key defectors from the National Basketball Association (Rick Barry, Joe Caldwell) as the young league sought parity with their elders. Scott led Virginia to 55 wins, best in the East. Issel, instantly popular with the Kentucky Colonels after a splendid college career at the University of Kentucky, led the ABA in scoring.
