1974-75 Basketball Season Roster
- Rick Barry leads Golden State to its only NBA title
- Washington wins 60 with Unseld, Hayes and Chenier
- McAdoo leads NBA in scoring (34.5), rebounding (14.1)
Everyone – everyone – expected Washington to win the NBA finals after a 60-win season and whipping 60-win Boston (with John Havlicek, Dave Cowens and Jo Jo White) in the playoffs. Not so fast. With high-scoring Rick Barry (30.6 ppg) and a versatile supporting cast, 48-win Golden State swept the Bullets in four straight. Buffalo won 49 with Bob McAdoo winning the scoring and rebounding crowns. Pistol Pete Maravich scored 21.5 ppg in New Orleans’ first NBA season.
