In his seventh season, Michael Jordan won his first NBA title. Chicago was the class of the league with 61 wins. On the flip side, with Denver Coach Paul Westhead convinced his team could make enough 3-pointers to offset easy 2-pointers by opponents, the Nuggets averaged 120 ppg – and gave up a record 131. Scott Skiles set a record with 30 assists in a game vs. Denver, which was 20-62.
