  • C. Kershaw 13-10, 2.91, 212 Ks … C. Billingsley: 12 wins … J. Broxton: 22 saves

It was a disappointing summer for the Dodgers as they failed to reach postseason for the third straight year. After being the NL runner-up the previous two years, the Dodgers began slow, played well in the middle and faded down the stretch. After winning a Gold Glove, Matt Kemp disappointed with a .249 average but still set a career high in home runs. Andre Ethier also was productive but Russell Martin was limited to just 97 games behind the plate. Los Angeles’ pitching was average but Clayton Kershaw’s 12 strikeouts were fifth in the NL. Midseason acquisition Ted Lilly also pitched well, as the lefty was 7-4 in 12 starts. Jonathan Broxton (4.04) struggled at times but Hong-Chih Kuo pitched well (1.20 ERA, 12 saves).
