  • D. Wright: .283, 29 HR, 103 RBI … A. Pagan .290, 37 SB … I.Davis: .264, 19, 71
  • J. Santana 11-9, 2.98 … M.Pelfrey 15 wins: … R.A. Dickey 11-9, 2.84

The Mets showed a nine-game improvement but it still was a disappointment, especially with a lineup that had the fourth-worst average in the NL and also ranked 13th in home runs. David Wright had a nice bounce back season as he just missed a third 30 home run season. Angel Pagan played well as a full-time outfielder, providing steady defense while leading the team in batting average and stolen bases. Ike Davis was among the better NL rookies as he played solid first base defense and finished second on the team in home runs and RBI. On the mound, the Mets were second in complete games as Johan Santana had half of their eight complete games. Knuckleballer R.A. Dickey also pitched well and Mike Pelfrey rebounded from a disappointing 2009.
