We have just been notified of a potentially major problem with the League archiving utilities of Version 11 CD-ROM Baseball. Please do not use the Delete League, Backup League or Restore League functions in the game without patching!
Problem
Description
– Unintended file loss can result if the Delete League, Backup League
or
Restore League function is used with an un-patched version of the game,
but
only in extremely rare circumstances.
Reason
for the problem – The problem
appears to be caused by a “Release Only” quirk of the
compiled program, which causes the Operating System to return an
inaccurate
list of files to be deleted.
Problem
Solution – While the bug is
extremely rare (we have only
one report of the problem) it is potentially dangerous.
Therefore, you should immediately
apply patch 11.01a. After applying this
patch be sure to check that the version number is listed as
Version
11.01a on the Help / About dialog.

Note - This bug is the only
problem addressed in
patch 11.01a. No other code has changed
– we are releasing this as a stand-alone fix for this particular
problem
because of the dangerous nature of the bug.
