1) Game Lobby - Now available for FREE for both Pro and College Football!!! This is a feature that allows you to hook up with other players to play Netplay games. Now you can hang out in the lobby and chat about Strat Football. Feel like playing a game? Just connect with someone else in the lobby and start playing!
2) New Free Safety Blitz Rule - A modified Free Safety Blitz rule has been added to more realistically portray this play. Please read about the new rule in the updated Football Rules which have been posted.
3) Starting Quarterback Schedule - Now you can pre-define your starting Quarterback for each game! Historical Starting Quarterback QBS files are included for all Pro seasons that we sell.
4) Support for new Onsides Kickoff Chart - A new chart has been included that more realistically determines where an onside kickoff is recovered. This new chart self-adjusts for eras where the kickoff was from different locations. See the Updated Football Rules for the new chart. Also, the game now displays how many yards an Onside Kickoff travels in the play-by-play box.
5) Find Player Function - The Manage League Rosters function now has a "Find Player" button. This button allows you to quickly find the location of any player in the league. The dialog will list all players who match the text string that you submit.
6) Weekly League Leaders - A new Weekly League Leaders report has been added that lets you display the league leaders for any week in your season.
7) Team Record Book Report - A new Team Record Book report has been added that show the same information as the League Record Book, but limited to just one team.
8) Team Leaders Report - A new Team Leaders report has been added that show the same information as League Leaders, but limited to just one team.
9) Team Fumble Report - A new Team Fumble report has been added that shows information about fumbles broken down into 12 categories.
10) League Grand Totals - The League Grand Totals report now displays Sack Yardage totals.
11) Messages added - A message is now displayed if a run or a pass is capped due to the longest gain rush/pass rules. Also a message has been added describing which team recovers the ball on an onside kick.
12) Support for New Seasons - Support for the 2007, 1958, and 1983 seasons and the 40th Anniversary All-Time Franchise rosters has been added to the Pro game. Support for the 2007 season has been added to the College game.
HERE IS A LIST OF BUGS FIXED SINCE THE PREVIOUS VERSION:
1) Fixed a Netplay bug which caused hangs after some Fumble recoveries.
2) Fixed bug that affected the launching of the Encyclopedia and the Report Writer just after switching from/to Daylight Savings Time.
3) Fixed a Netplay bug where a game that ended on a QB Spike was not ending on both machines.
4) Fixed a bug where a corrupt computer manager would crash the game preventing access to the team and/or league. If a corrupt computer manager is detected then it will be replaced by a default computer manager.
5) Flat passes thrown to the left side for a loss were sometimes animating to the right side.
6) Fixed a bug where in the last 2 minutes of a half a timeout (or other action to save time on the clock by the computer manager) would allow too much time to come off the clock.
7) A penalty bug was fixed where in certain circumstances a roughing the passer play did not result in an automatic first down.
8) Fixed a rare bug where Easy Mode would show the offensive formation twice in the play selection sequence.
9) When an offensive player recovered a fumble the down indicator was incorrect on the prompt that asked whether or not to advance the ball.
10) The League Grand Totals report was not showing FGA on the Opponent Totals line.
11) The College Polling Report would sometimes show poor teams making the top 25 in the polls.
12) When a Field Goal was kicked while using animation, and the team's scoring sound was assigned, the music would play before the play animated.
DATA FIXES IN THIS VERSION:
All data problems that have been reported to Strat-O-Matic have been included with this release. This includes all data fixes that were distributed in last year's patches. Since every season has had changes there are too many fixes to list. We recommend that you reinstall all of the seasons that you are using.
