To The Strat-O-Matic Community,
As 2025 comes to a close, I want to extend a thank you to the entire Strat-O-Matic
community for another memorable year. I am continually inspired by the passion,
imagination, and loyalty of this community. It is your love of the game that keeps Strat-
O-Matic thriving more than six decades after first bringing it to the public.
One of the most exciting things we have seen this year is a new generation of players
discovering Strat-O-Matic for the first time, alongside longtime fans who continue to
pass the game down to their families and friends. Whether around the table or online,
the Strat community continues to grow in new and meaningful ways. In the year ahead,
we are especially excited about an upcoming partnership that will help introduce Strat-
O-Matic to even more players. You may soon see the game on shelves near you, and
we will be sharing more details later in the year.
One … Two … Three New Seasons, Plus Heroes 4
Opening Day will see three new seasons released this year in Basic, Advanced, and
Super-Advanced format.
2025: As always, February will be led by the current season. While the highlights
look familiar, including a Dodgers championship, MVPs for Ohtani and Judge, a Cy
Young for Skubal, and continued dominance from Skenes, this season also brings
plenty of new stories. The Blue Jays improved twenty games over last year and went
the distance with Los Angeles before falling in the 11th inning of Game 7. Cal Raleigh hit
60 home runs while catching, and rookie Nick Kurtz joins Judge and Ohtani as the only
players above a 1.000 OPS.
1985: Forty years after its initial release, the 1985 season returns with full Super-
Advanced features. As in 2025, the World Series went seven games, but this one ended
as a blowout. Bret Saberhagen pitched an 11-0 complete-game shutout to clinch the
title for the Royals. Don Mattingly and Willie McGee were the league MVPs.
1952: This season will finally be available for Strat players. The AL MVP was
Bobby Shantz, now a centenarian, who led the league with 24 wins and finished 27 of
his 33 starts. Cubs outfielder Hank Sauer earned NL honors while leading the league in
home runs and RBI. The Yankees captured their fourth of five consecutive
championships, defeating the Dodgers in seven games.
Baseball Heroes 4: A total of 117 new players will be released this February in
the Baseball Heroes 4 card set, joining the previous Heroes releases and Hall-of-Fame
series in the carded seven-year peak universe. Recently retired stars include Clayton
Kershaw, Yadier Molina, and Anthony Rizzo. The set also reaches back to the early twentieth century with deadball era players such as Mike Donlin, Ray Chapman, and
Dutch Leonard. The full list will be published in the Winter Newsletter.
Even More Stars Coming to Windows
The 2025, 1985, and 1952 seasons, along with Baseball Heroes 4, will all be available
in the Baseball 2026 Windows game. Additional Windows-only products include the
1939 Negro League season, Hall of Fame 2026, Baseball Daily 2026, updated Career
Historical Rosters through 2025, and a new release titled Supplemental Heroes and
Stars.
This mammoth set includes 921 players created by Len Durrant in the established seven-
year peak format and is designed to complement the Hall of Fame, Heroes, and Stars
collections. It features players not already represented in those sets and gives gamers
an extraordinary range of options for leagues, projects, and historical replays. More
details on this and the other releases will appear in the upcoming Winter Newsletter.
Play 2025 Early Only on Baseball MAX
Baseball MAX continues to grow as a digital option for Strat fanatics, with more than
three million games already played on the platform. Its cloud-based design allows for
unmatched flexibility across devices. While we prepare for Strat Opening Day in Glen
Head this February, we are adding the 2025 season early for play on Baseball MAX for
subscribers.
The new season will be added to coincide with pre-orders in just a few weeks. This will
allow players to preview the cards, play out the season with their favorite teams, or start
up a draft league with the new set. We will also be hosting 2025-themed tournaments
during the early release on Baseball MAX, with prizes for the winners. More details to
come!
Baseball 365
The 2025 season and Baseball Daily will arrive on Baseball 365 in March. While much
of the work this year has taken place behind the scenes, significant progress has been
made in upgrading the platform to modern technologies. We are excited about what this
will allow us to build in the coming years, as this modernization is essential to the long-
term development of Baseball 365.
Stay Tuned for Important Dates:
Dates for ratings guides, pre-orders, and Opening Day will be announced soon.
And with the above, Strat-O-Matic 2026 is just getting started. Look for more new
products, surprises and the return of classic favorites as the year progresses. Thank you for continuing to make Strat-O-Matic not just a game, but a shared tradition that
connects generations of players through their love of sports, strategy, and competition.
We hope to see many of you this February in Glen Head.
Strat-On!

Been rolling the dice since 1975…tried EA Sports in the 90’s but managed to return and have now surpassed 25,800 games. Game #25,000 was a cross-era showdown as the 2006 Yankees beat the 1983 Philles 4-1.
Thank you for all your hard work!

Mr. Richman, We are grateful for your continued health and dedication to maintaining and improving your original creation, SOM Baseball. It’s been a great joy to me since 1963! Each year we all salivate over the prospect of you issuing Super Advanced editions of previous seasons (1985 this year) and your release of previously unavailable seasons (1952 this year). Thank you for including some Dead Ball greats in your Baseball Heroes 4 set!
YES! Finally 1952!!! Thank you- not one but two classic seasons- what a Merry Christmas! Hal, we love you!
Every year since I started playing in 1964 my two favorite times of the year are Xmas and Strat mas , when the new cards come out. Thanks for all the fun. Happy new year
