3-Minute Baseball: 1942 Season

This week’s 3-Minute Baseball features two of the top teams from the 1942 season: Boston and St. Louis. Boston finished the year at a very respectable 93-59, despite missing out on the postseason (they were 10 games behind NYY). Ted Williams, at .356 BA, 36 HR, 137 RBI, won his first Triple Crown award. St. Louis dominated the regular season with a 106-48 record and ultimately prevailed in the postseason, knocking off NYY in five games for the fourth championship in franchise history.
