3-Minute Baseball: Walk-off winner in 1992 NLCS

This week’s 3-Minute Baseball features a rematch of the thrilling 1992 NLCS between Atlanta and Pittsburgh. In the end, Atlanta punched its ticket to the World Series thanks to one of the most unlikely of postseason heroes, Francisco Cabrera. With Atlanta down 2-1 and the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning of Game 7, Cabrera smacked a two-run single off of Stan Belinda, scoring David Justice and Sid Bream for the walk-off win. Bream famously slid into home plate to score the Series-winning run, just beating the throw by Pittsburgh left fielder Barry Bonds.
