  • Stuart Miller leads the league in team HR with 109
  • Jack Curry leads the league in team BA at .266
  • Joe Posnanski has the best team ERA at 3.03
  • Big Papi hits FOUR home runs in a game as Stuart Miller beats Joe Sheehan in a slugfest, 11-10. Box score available here. 
  • Justin Verlander pitches 2 CG shutouts for Marc Stein (9 ip, 1 hit, 1 bb, 13 strikeouts in Game 1, 9 ip 3 hits, 0 bb, 10 strikeouts in Game 2)
  • Steve Gardner erupts for 17 runs on 19 hits in a 17-2 drubbing of Hal Richman’s Strat-O-Matic Bison. Buster Posey clubs two HR and drives in seven runs. 
At the end of the league playoffs, Strat-O-Matic will be making a $1,000 donation to the winning team’s charity of choice.
