The shows will use the data and simulations from iconic Cubs games of the past to re-imagine what an alternate result would have been, as well as other projects designed to engage fans interest and debate.

The first series of shows in the partnership will be the Ultimate Cubs Lineup. Marquee had 18 players, broadcasters, analysts and fans create the best lineup they could from throughout Cubs history to win one game: eight hitters, a starting pitcher, one reliever, and one bench player. Rick Sutcliffe, Doug Glanville, Carlos Peña, Mark DeRosa, Len Kasper, Jim Deshaies, and others all chose a lineup and MJarquee will play out the tournament to crown the Ultimate Cubs Lineup champion. Strat-O-Matic was invented by 11-year-old Hal Richman in his bedroom in Great Neck, N.Y. in 1948 as a result of his frustration with the statistical randomness of other baseball board games. He discovered that the statistical predictability of dice would give his game the realism he craved.
