Full Summary

After making short work of Phoenix (which had rookie of the year Amare Stoudemire), the Shaq-Kobe Lakers, 60-win Dallas and New Jersey, the San Antonio Spurs had bookend championships surrounding the Lakers’ three titles. That was a fine farewell for the 14-year career of “The Admiral,” Navy grad David Robinson. Tim Duncan (23.3 ppg, 12.9 rpg) was MVP of both the season and the playoffs.
