Full Summary

The talent-studded Chicago Blackhawks were the class of the NHL for the first time in 49 years, as young captain/Conn Smythe Trophy winner Jonathan Toews tied a franchise record for playoff points. But the season was a wild ride, with 11 teams soaring to 100 points or more and 16 other teams separated by only 17 points in the fight for the final playoff spots. Alex Ovechkin, Sidney Crosby, Joe Thornton were scoring stars again, but so were young Steve Stamkos of Tampa Bay, Patrick Marleau and the newest New York Ranger, Martin Gaborik.
