Full Summary

Relive the glory of a season when Al Davis’ Oakland Raiders won nine of their last 11, then terrorized four foes in the playoffs with QB Jim Plunkett and LB Ted Hendricks. This was the year of San Diego’s “Air Coryell”: Dan Fouts led all passers with 4,715 yards and had three 1,000-yard receivers in John Jefferson, Kellen Winslow and Charlie Joiner. The year of Cleveland’s Kardiac Kids, who were 9-3 in games decided by seven or fewer points. The year when Dallas, with QB Danny White and RB Tony Dorsett led the NFL’s top offense. The year when Atlanta’s Steve Bartkowski led the NFL with 31 TD passes. The year when Houston’s Earl Campbell crushed defenses with 1,934 yards rushing, 13 TDs and a 5.2 average. The year when, unfortunately for New Orleans, the “Aints” were so bad their fans came to games with bags over their heads.
