Full Summary

The Boston Braves, non-contenders forever, were in last place in mid-July. But they went 34-10, ascending past the Giants for the NL pennant. Then they swept the mighty A’s in the World Series. In response to this indignity and the threat of the raiders in the new rival Federal League, Connie Mack sold his stars and lost legendary infielders Eddie Collins and Home Run Baker, ending the A’s dynasty once and for all.
